Cam Newton had an MRI on his throwing shoulder on Tuesday morning.
The tests didn't show any structural damage and he's expected to play against the Washington Redskins on Monday night.
"It's nothing to be scared about," Newton said after a practice in which he was held out of passing drills during the open portion of the workout.
