Chiefs-Steelers Moved To Primetime To Avoid Ice Storm

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jan 13, 2017 8:53 pm

The Kansas City Chiefs have moved the start time for their divisional round playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers to 8:20 PM ET.

The game was supposed to begin at 1:05 p.m. ET.

The worst of a winter storm that is predicted to dump as much as a half-inch of ice on Kansas City will pass through the area early on Sunday.

"Moving the game from the original 1:05 p.m. ET start time will provide local authorities more time to clear roads in the area as the weather is expected to improve throughout Sunday,'' the statement said.

"The decision to make this time change was made in consultation with state and local officials as well as the Chiefs and the Steelers.''

The Steelers said in a statement they have been monitoring Kansas City-area weather and "fully support the NFL's decision to move the game to Sunday night."

Even the NFL is getting soft now. They never used to postpone football due to weather. Fans LOVE messy bad weather games. **** you pussies!

I like the Steelers chances a little more in this game now. Don't envision the Chiefs playing as well at night and I think the Steelers really shine at night.
