Philip Rivers Isn't Pushing For Trade To 49ers

The Chargers are leaving San Diego for Los Angeles, which has led to speculation that Philip Rivers might want to move on as well.

Rivers shot down that notion to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, saying he has a no-trade clause and is fine with Los Angeles.

Jim Trotter of ESPN reached out to Rivers for comment on rumors linking him to the San Francisco 49ers, to which the quarterback said, "news to me."

This might be the most hilarious rumour I've read recently.. WHY ON EARTH would Phil Rivers at this point in his career, want to join a 49ers squad that has no real idea what they'll even be in the next 3 years yet lol?

Plus, he has a TE he knows and trusts, and backup one with promise, Melvin Gordon coming back another year stronger, young WR core, AND Keenan Allen coming back next season ready, and likely wanting to go on a tear (no pun intended, ugh) for missing last season.

PLUS he's gonna be playing in LA.
