The Atlanta Falcons are considering secondary coach Marquand Manuel as their next defensive coordinator, according to sources.
The team has confirmed that they would not retain defensive coordinator Richard Smith or defensive line coach Bryan Cox.
Manuel, who played eight seasons at strong safety, has been praised by Dan Quinn for his hands-on approach in developing the secondary.
