Tyrod Taylor Takes $10M Pay Cut In Restructured Deal With Bills

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Mar 14, 2017 6:38 pm

Tyrod Taylor will take a $10 million pay cut as part of the restructured contract he agreed upon with the Buffalo Bills.

Taylor will earn $30.5 million in 2017 and 2018 combined before his contract automatically voids on the fifth day after the Super Bowl in February 2019. Under his previous deal, Taylor would have earned $40.5 million in 2017 and 2018 combined if the Bills exercised an option in his contract that would have kept him under the team's control through 2021.

Taylor will be fully guaranteed only $15.5 million under the terms of his restructured deal.

Buffalo had interest in Brian Hoyer before agreeing upon the new deal with Taylor.

They had interest in Hoyer before this signing? That is exactly why they are the Bills. Hoyer has been in the league long enough to see who he is. I can see if they said Cousins,Kaepernick, or Glennon. These guys get paid millions to make horrible decisions, I chose the wrong career path.
