The Cleveland Browns declined to select a quarterback with any of their three first round picks but selected DeShone Kizer 52nd overall.

The Browns have started 26 different quarterbacks since 1999. Cleveland also inquired about the availability of Jimmy Garoppolo.

"I do think there's a lot of potential and I think there's a lot of room for growth," Kizer told reporters after his selection. "My goal right now is to figure out a way to learn as much as I possibly can."

The Browns selected Myles Garrett, Jabrill Peppers and David Njoku in the first round.

For once, I think we can say the Browns had a good draft. Kizer has tons of potential for a 3rd round pick, and should have some time to develop as they see what Cody Kessler can do. I don't get the release of Barnidge though, he is still a very solid player on a decent contract. Maybe the Giants can pick him up and diversify their passing game even more. Barnidge, OBJ, Marshall, Shepherd, and the other TE they took with their 1st round pick would make for a pretty wide-open passing game.
