NFL To Hire Full Time Officials For First Time In League History

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Aug 9, 2017 7:09 pm

For the first time in NFL history, the league will have 21 to 24 full-time officials.

Under the plan, each of the seven field officiating positions will be represented, with no more than five coming from one position.

The full-time officials will come from the current roster of 124 game officials. Also, the full-time officials will be permitted to have outside employment.

It's about damn time. Officiating is important, and this allows refs to focus completely on their primary job function. They can study film and learn things, analyze officiating errors, review plays etc. Making them part time was beyond stupid in the first place. The NFL is a multi billion dollar business, cheaping out and skimming refs out of full time work is pathetic.
SELL THE TEAM, JIM!!! :curse:
