Steve Young Says He Won't Work In MNF Booth

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jan 12, 2018 1:25 pm

Steve Young isn't interested in replacing Jon Gruden in the booth for Monday Night Football.

Young works in a studio role for ESPN and says the booth gig would take him away from his wife and four children too much.

"I cannot take a job where you disappear for four days a week for five months," Young said told KNBR. "If I could do it from my backyard, sure, I'd do it."

That's all you see. There is a lot of prep worn involved in the form of gathering research, interviews, etc. Travel time. It's at least a 3-4 day gig and usually dominated on the weekend when his kids are available to him.
