Steelers Likely To Franchise Le'Veon Bell Again In 2018

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Jan 14, 2018 3:58 pm

The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to use the franchise tag on Le'Veon Bell for the second straight game.

After playing on a $12.1 million tag in 2017, Bell's franchise number would be about $14.5 in 2018.

Bell said last week that he would consider sitting out or retiring if the Steelers tag him in 2018.

If Bell had signed the long-term offer from the Steelers last offseason, he would have earned $30 million over 2017 and 2018.

Shouldn't be able to tag the same player twice in a row. Bit rough.

Idiots. The NFL draft is about to offer about 8 1st/2nd Round Starting RBs; there are more RBs than there are teams that need them, and the Steelers have 3 All-Star Offensive Lineman, which means, Bell is made to look a lot better than he actually is. I hope they come to their senses and realize they'll be just fine by drafting one, or signing one for about 1/3 the cost, with at worst, getting about 3/4 the production.

The Steelers really need to attend the Dave Ramsey Class for NFL Front Offices. :nonono:
