Washington Signs Josh Johnson To Be Back Up QB

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Dec 5, 2018 7:01 pm

Washington has signed Josh Johnson to back up Mark Sanchez at quarterback.

Johnson last threw a regular season pass in 2011 while with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Washington admitted that they had internally discussed signing Colin Kaepernick before deciding to go in a different direction.

They'll probably offer Brad Johnson a contract next.

And there are some retired kickers out there who always seemed to want a chance to throw more often than the occasional fake punt - if you're gonna skip on Kaep, might as well dredge the bottom of the river and see what's down there.
