The Pittsburgh Steelers have a history of discussing extensions with their head coaches when they have two years left on their contract.

Mike Tomlin has two years left on his deal, but the Steelers aren\'t in a rush to extend him.

\"Those are things we\'ll get to sort of later in the offseason, so we\'ll cross that bridge when we come to it,\" Art Rooney II said.

Rooney did, however, push back against speculation that Tomlin was on the hot seat after a disappointing season filled with drama.

\"It\'s nonsense,\" the owner said. \"We didn\'t achieve our goal of winning the division but we finished half a game out and had a lot of opportunities to get there.\"

What a stupid comment by Artie Rooney, we just missed our goal of winning the division. They had the division well in hand about 2/3 of the way into the season, then blew a bunch of games.
The Steelers goal with the talent they have should always be the Super Bowl, not just a division title.

Any other team that underachieved so much with their talent, the coach would be gone. At the very least they need to get a new DC, Keith Butler is a failure
