Colin Kaepernick\'s Settlement Unlikely To Prohibit Return To NFL

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Feb 17, 2019 2:50 am

Colin Kaepernick\'s lawsuit settlement with the NFL likely doesn\'t preclude him from returning to the league in the future.

Kaepernick and the NFL reached a settlement for an undisclosed sum on Friday.

“He absolutely wants to play,” Kaepernick\'s attorney Mark Geragos said. “He wants to compete at the highest level. This is a competitive young man.”

Kaepernick hasn\'t played since 2016.

Geragos emphasized that Kaepernick remains ready to play.

“I will tell you, he is the most fit vegan I have ever seen in my life,” Geragos said. “To my somewhat trained eye, he looks like he’s ready to play.”

No team is gonna sign him he's not any good and he's a trouble maker. There's always the CFL if he wants to play Football. Then there's the Arena League and the XFL is coming back! Woo hoo the loser might find a job.

Reminds me of the guy that got a boat load of money for spilling McDonalds coffee on himself in the drive thru and complained he wasn't sufficiently warned it was hot. So stupid. Start your own talk show if you want to make societal statements. Leave my sport alone.

- it was an elderly woman
- it was served at a temp that was well beyond human consumption
- it caused her 3rd degree burns, through 3 layers of clothes
- McDonald’s could have settled for thousands of dollars (her medical bills) but chose to try and drain her retirement w lawyer fees

#themoreyouknow :D

Now back to the game we all know as sdn40’s sport.

So if no nfl team signs him in the next 3 years does that mean he gets to sue the nfl again for another $80m?

Good for him. Hopefully more players sue the NFL when they cross the line like this. Players need to grab more control in the next labor negotiations.
