Antonio Brown Accuses Ben Roethlisberger Of Having \'Owner Mentality\'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Feb 17, 2019 2:51 am

Antonio Brown believes Ben Roethlisberger has an \"owner mentality.\"

No conflict just a matter of respect! Mutual respect! He has a owner mentality like he can call out anybody including coaches. Players know but they can’t say anything about it otherwise they meal ticket gone. It’s a dirty game within a game. #truth https://t.co/MsSyBVd3Ny

Sources told ESPN in January that Brown was tired of being the scapegoat for the Steelers\' problems and was privately upset that Roethlisberger called out his route-running after a Week 12 loss

Seems pretty obvious. Its a negative because he's not an owner and should be acting like a teammate instead.

Is it really that crazy for a franchise QB and super bowl winner to take leadership of his team?

Leading a team as a QB and acting like you own the team are very different things. It's like if one of your co-workers starting acting like he owned the company. People would undoubtedly get annoyed with that guy. That's all that's happening here.

Can someone explain how calling some one out for running bad routes equates to acting like an owner?

It seems to me that there is an easy fix to the problem--Brown needs to run the correct route and be where Ben expects him to be. If not there won't be many Ws.

Look at the way Brady yells at teammates on the sidelines. AB has gained a lot of yards from Big Ben's passing, he should appreciate that. He is too immature
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Please break down those differences. Big Ben wanted Brown to run the routes he was supposed to run. That doesn't make Ben like an owner, he just wanted his #1 receiver on the same page as him. Brady, Rodgers, Brees, etc etc would all do the same thing. They are leaders, that doesn't mean they act like owners. Are they managing the salary cap and signing players? Are they drafting people? I highly doubt he's making decisions on when Brown plays, how many snaps he gets, etc etc. This whole thing seems overblown.

You're shifting away from your original point. You even excluded it from your response. What's the point of asking a question if you don't want the answer? You originally said:
"Since when is that a negative? Everyone dreams of being a team owner one day."

I gave you the answer and now you're changing the question. Just take the L and move on. Im done. You're annoying AF

Look, the bottom line is if you have an issue with a teammate, you pull them to the side and have a private conversation.. you don't put them on blast through the media as though you are better than everyone and don't make mistakes yourself.. Nobody is saying he can't lead the team, but he has to do it the correct way if he wants to keep the respect of the players that go to war with him each week!!!!

Damn, why you so mad bro? My original point was true as well. Saying somebody has owner mentality is NOT a negative, and that's why I explained how Brown is actually talking about team leadership not literally acting like an owner, thus it's not negative. I guess you completely missed the point.
