Eagles Proposed Change To Dallas-Detroit Thanksgiving Tradition

The Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions have hosted Thanksgiving games annually for decades, but the Philadelphia Eagles briefly attempted to change that.

The Eagles submitted a proposal for a change in the league resolutions that would have seen the Lions and Cowboys continue to play on Thanksgiving each year, but to play on the road every other year.

However, the Eagles withdrew the proposal perhaps over concerns that it had no chance to pass.

They should've tried to ram it through. I mean, no one likes Dallas or cares about Detroit! So it's akin to purposely deflating ratings every year.

LOL did you seriously just say "purposely deflating ratings" and the Cowboys in the same sentence? Every year the Cowboys absolutely dominate the ratings, no matter who or when they are playing. The fact that people don't like them so much actually boosts their ratings because everyone tunes in, hoping to see them lose.
