Kliff Kingsbury insists Josh Rosen will fit his offense with the Arizona Cardinals should they keep him as their quarterback. The Cardinals are also considering Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick.

\"No question,\" Kingsbury said. \"People have said a lot of things that are misconceptions, if you will. But Josh is a tremendous player, I\'ve always thought, watching him at UCLA. He played his best football in a spread system, some similarities to what we do. He\'s a tremendous thinker, very cerebral, can throw it with anybody, and we take a lot of pride in building a system around a quarterback.

\"For someone to say he doesn\'t fit our system, it doesn\'t make sense.\"

Kingsbury said with the first overall draft pick comes \"tons of chatter.\"

Kingsbury praised Murray on Tuesday, calling him \"one of the better dual-threat players to ever play.\"

\"I don\'t know if I\'ve seen one that can do both things as well as he does,\" Kingsbury said. \"You see the running ability, Mike Vick comes to mind, that type of explosion and escapability. He\'s a true dropback passer when he wants to be. He\'s a tough combination.\"

The whole Murray at #1 thing has always been a smokescreen. It will be Bosa or trade down. Cardinals are pumping up Murray to generate trade interest, they aren't actually thinking about picking him. They want more picks to build the oline.

Think about it. Arizona traded up for Rosen last year, if they trade him now for a second, they lose a lot of value on the pick. That is not a successful formula to build a winning team. Rosen had the worst offensive line in the NFL last year, he was running for his life constantly. Murray isn't going to change that. He might be a little more mobile, but Rosen was much more accurate in college and has a year of experience under his belt.

The Cardinals will do the smart thing and build around Rosen. Sure they have a new coach, but the same GM and he would be dumb to throw away Rosen this early in his career when many analysts had him as the #2 QB prospect in a deep, talented QB class. He's a pocket QB, he needs at least a semi decent offensive line.

You can't judge a QB based on a rookie year. Look at Mark Sanchez. He made the playoffs his first year because he was CARRIED by a great oline, running game, and elite defense.
