Melvin Gordon To Hold Out, Request Trade Unless He Signs New Deal

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:32 pm

Melvin Gordon will not report to training camp and plans to demand a trade if he doesn\'t sign a new contract with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Gordon and the Chargers have been unable to make progress in their negotiations this offseason.

Gordon is scheduled to be heading into the last year of his contract, a fifth-year option worth $5.6 million.

Gordon rushed for an average of 5.1 yards per carry and recorded 14 total touchdowns in 2018. He also averaged 114.6 scrimmage yards per game last season.
