NFL Has Become More Tolerant Of Marijuana Use

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Aug 12, 2019 2:16 pm

The NFL has reportedly taken a less strict stance on recreational drugs over the past few years, which could allow a player like Josh Gordon to return to the league.

\"It’s really on Josh to convince them that he is going to abide by the drug rules,\" writes Jay Glazer. \"The NFL has changed their tune — they’re no longer trying to ban guys from the NFL for these recreational drugs, especially marijuana. They realize that a lot of them are using it for mental health and for anxiety issues. They’re not trying to be like they used to be, which was zero-tolerance; they’re trying to be more understanding these days, but this is on Josh Gordon to say, \'This is what I’ve done for my recovery, I’m clean and sober, this is how I plan on staying clean and sober, I deserve this chance.\' He’s got to convince them, not the other way around.\"

Less strict stance??? They never used to suspend players entire seasons for marijuana and drug test obsessively. Hell, players used to snort lines before games in the 80s.
SELL THE TEAM, JIM!!! :curse:

Gordon has been Alcohol, Weed, Adderal and Coke.
Id treat him like Justin Blackmon former Jag and forget he existed.

This story makes no sense.

You argue that the NFL is more tolerant, and then say its on Josh to convince the league that is is fully sober.

That's an obvious contradiction.
