Antonio Brown Issues \'Emotional Apology\' During Team Meeting

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Sep 6, 2019 5:24 pm

Antonio Brown issued \"an emotional apology\" during a team meeting with the Oakland Raiders on Friday.

Brown issued the apology with team captains \"standing with him.\"

Brown and Mike Mayock had a confrontation during Wednesday\'s practice that led the Raiders to plan on suspending him.

Jon Gruden had told people the Raiders were planning for Week 1 without him but now there\'s a chance he\'ll play.

Emotional?
Potentially losing $29 million will do that.

Yeah, for real. Hard to imagine the apology was genuine, especially after all the fines they've levied against him already. Caving on the planned suspension just looks to me like another crack in the foundation of this team. I have zero confidence in Gruden to bring players together, especially if you've got a few low-character types in the locker room(and ESPECIALLY if they're high-skill players earning big money). I predicted when they hired Gruden that this team would go down in flames before the start of the 2020-21 season, and they're on course so far.

Everything is practice.
