Larry Fitzgerald Re-Signs With Cardinals On One-Year Deal

Larry Fitzgerald will return to the Arizona Cardinals for his 17th NFL season.

There had been speculation he could retire, but he instead signed a one-year contract.

“This season was among the most fun of my career,” Fitzgerald said in a tweet. “The future is so bright for this team & I relish the opportunity to build with this talented young nucleus.”

“Arizona is where I started and where I will finish. 2020! Let’s get to work!”

On the one hand, I respect Fitz for sticking with one team no matter what. On the other, it's a real shame that most of this guy's career has been wasted on such a bad team.

I was hoping he would come to the Vikings on a one year deal, and finish where he REALLY started. (he was a ball boy growing up in Minnesota.)
