Colin Kaepernick is in great shape and still wants to play in the NFL.
The quarterback is \"more motivated to play than ever,\" according to a source.
Kaepernick hasn\'t played since 2016 with the San Francisco 49ers.

Hi might be, but someone tell him he wasn't that good in the first place. What makes him think that after a few years later that he will be any better. Teams didn't sign him because he was and is not a qb.

Cam Newton should be in front of him. Even right now at his worst, he's still better than Kaepernick at essentially everything. Running/mobility, throwing and leading a team

Even if a team signs Kap, he’s a backup. How long before there’s calls saying him riding the pine is unfair or unjust?

He didn’t get a job for the same reason Tim Tebow didn’t. It is not worth having a backup qb that brings that much of a headache. No team wants the focus on a guy they hope never sees the field. Kap and Tebow would both have supporters yelling for them to start...and neither should. So they would be nothing but distractions.

Kap also never improved. He always passed it to the first option, and if that didn't look good he'd scramble. Teams caught onto his tendencies and he never evolved. Every game he was just slowly backing himself into a corner.
The 49ers benched him and he was on he way out when he took the knee.
