The New England Patriots have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Cam Newton, according to league sources.

The contract is reported incentive-laden.

Newton was released by the Carolina Panthers on March 24. He\'ll complete with Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham to replace Tom Brady in New England.

How crazy to think Cam Newton didn't have a job.

He was one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

This all but seals American football never being my favorite sport. I'll never get it. I'll want to get it.
