George Kittle has suffered a broken bone in his foot and will be out a minimum of eight weeks, which will likely effectively end his 2020 season.
Kittle signed a five-year, $75 million extension with the San Francisco 49ers in August.
Kittle had 37 catches for 474 yards and two touchdowns in six games this season.
