Buccaneers Removing Jon Gruden From Ring Of Honor

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Oct 13, 2021 1:21 pm

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will remove Jon Gruden from the Buccaneers Ring of Honor.

The decision comes in the wake of Gruden resigning as Las Vegas Raiders head coach following the release of offensive emails.

\"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have advocated for purposeful change in the areas of race relations, gender equality, diversity and inclusion for many years,\" the team statement read.

\"While we acknowledge Jon Gruden\'s contributions on the field, his actions go against our core values as an organization. Therefore, he will no longer continue to be a member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor.\"

Oh, come on. This is too far.

We gonna remove Ty Cobb from the HOF too?

Gruden is an asshat who lost his job. We've all kinda known already that he was crude like that under the surface.

Rings of honor are for excellence on the field and have nothing to do with off the field.

Good. After hearing Keyshawn speak on gruden’s character I don’t think he has any honor and therefor should not be a representative of buccaneers football. He sounds like a real schmuck.

A quick Google of Ty Cobb should answer that for you.

Haha they take Gruden off the ring of honor but Sapp is still in it.

If the NFL is trying to erase everyone with a checkered past, Gruden’s stuff is very mellow compared to what many of the famous stars of the NFL has done.

Michael Irvin stabbed a teammate in the neck with scissors and Jerry Jones paid the lineman who got stabbed 6 figures to not press charges and to drop the situation. Irvin has also been accused of sexual assault multiple times. He still has a job at NFL Network and his name is up in Dallas. Jerry Jones still owns his team even though he paid a player off to not make a story of getting stabbed in the neck by the team’s star player haha.

Joe Mixon is on video beating the crap out of a female in the middle of a restaurant. Dude is a starting RB and nobody cares.

Tyreke Hill beat the crap out of his pregnant girlfriend, choked her and repeatedly punched her stomach while she was pregnant. Tyreke Hill is one of the more popular WRs in the game right now and nobody cares.

These are just some of the random things that popped in my mind. This is not me defending Gruden. But ya I think it’s laudable that Gruden is getting deleted from the Madden game and his name getting taken down from the ring of honor for Tampa for what he said in private emails, compared to some of the truly horrible things former and current NFL players have done and nobody cares.
