Taysom Hill and the New Orleans Saints have agreed to a contract extension that will pay him $40 million over the next four seasons if he remains in his current role.
The deal would be worth up to $95 million if Hill becomes the starting quarterback over the next four years.
The deal includes $22.5 million in guarantees.
The Saints had some salary-cap incentive to get an extension done with Hill before his contract voided next spring.
