Tom Brady Lost $30M In Collapse Of FTX

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jul 7, 2023 6:22 pm

Tom Brady reportedly lost $30 million during the collapse of FTX.

Brady received $30 million in now-worthless stock for his work pitching the company in television ads and at its conference.

Before the collapse of FTX, it was valued at $32 billion, including $48 million in shares held by Brady and Giselle Bundchen

Nah, he never "lost" 30m, he never invested his actual money and just never cashed out his realized gains.

He just lost some of his time he put into FTX, thats all.

Yeah, this was a poorly written article he was paid in stocks for the promotion like many celebrities. So he honestly didn’t lose anything monetarily, he basically worked for free.

Blame the aggregation, the original article is long and informative and doesn’t have that kind of title.

That said, him ‘working for free’ when he was the face of a major, multifaceted, very high profile campaign in media and in person (plus the business he started that was connected to it) is certainly the equivalent of many millions of dollars. Brady was very deeply involved, wasn’t just on a few 30-second ad spots that took him an afternoon to film.
