David Johnson announced his retirement from the NFL on Sunday.
A veteran of eight NFL seasons, Johnson last played in a regular season game in 2022 with the New Orleans Saints. The running back amassed 6,876 yards from scrimmage and 58 touchdowns in his career.
\"I\'m looking forward to my next career path in life,\" Johnson wrote on Instagram. \"I don\'t know exactly what that will be, but I hope it will bring me the same passion, excitement, and love as football did!\"
The Arizona Cardinals selected Johnson out of Northern Iowa in the third round of the 2015 draft.
