Josh Allen has embraced a different perspective on his Super Bowl pursuit, emphasizing process over results following his MVP award and marriage to actress Hailee Steinfeld during a transformative offseason.

Allen won league MVP honors in March and married Steinfeld in May after signing a contract extension worth $250 million guaranteed through 2030. The 29-year-old quarterback now approaches his eighth NFL season with less pressure despite holding seven playoff wins without a Super Bowl appearance.

The Bills enter Thursday\'s division matchup against Miami with a 2-0 record. Allen leads Buffalo\'s latest championship quest with a refined outlook that prioritizes family alongside football achievements.

\"I think every year that I\'ve had in this league, it\'s like, \'It\'s gotta be Super Bowl, it\'s gotta be Super Bowl,\' and I think this year, I just want to be like, you know what? I just want to play football and whatever happens, happens,\" Allen said.

Allen cited golfer Scottie Scheffler\'s comments about prioritizing fatherhood over professional success as influential in his mindset shift. The quarterback emphasized trusting divine timing while maintaining his commitment to winning championships.

His marriage to Steinfeld represents the most significant personal milestone of his offseason transformation. Allen described the decision as \"the most important I\'ll make in my life.\"

\"Obviously, I love my job. I think it\'s extremely important,\" Allen said. \"But the family aspect in being a good person and all that other stuff, I think that\'s, if not just as important, if not more, than playing our game.\"

Despite three AFC Championship Game losses, including two to Kansas City, Allen maintains his ultimate professional goal remains unchanged. The quarterback acknowledged his tendency toward self-criticism while expressing willingness to show himself more grace.

Buffalo\'s historic comeback victory over Baltimore in Week 1, erasing a 15-point deficit in the final four minutes, demonstrated Allen\'s composed leadership under pressure. Teammates noted his consistent demeanor regardless of game situations.
