American billionaire Dan Friedkin has emerged as a strong ownership option to bring the NHL to Houston, sources told ESPN.

Attempts to reach The Friedkin Group for comment were unsuccessful, but NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly confirmed in an email that the league has met with the group \"on a number of occasions about potential interest in a Houston expansion franchise.\"

Whoa...another nhl team?! 32 is way too much as is & the nhl talking about wanting another team?! Un-uh! If they're gonna put them in then they have no other choice but to have quebec as the 34th. No excuses, & don't anybody waste their time talking about Atlanta. Tired of them and a few other cities needing to be in every single sport. They lost 2 nhl teams already, & don't bother with 3rd times a charm garbage. And I was furious about the greed league[nfl] bringing teams back into L.A. It shoulda been 1 team, expansion team with new name & that's it.
How bout bring the houston comets back into the wnba instead? My brother stopped watchin wnba completely when they were contracted. He don't like the sparks.
