The Blue Jackets have acquired goaltender Patrick Killeen from the Penguins in exchange for future considerations, club GM Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Killeen has been assigned to the AHL’s Springfield Falcons.
Killeen, 22, has split his first three pro seasons between Wilkes-Barre of the AHL and Wheeling of the ECHL. He is 2-2-0 with a 2.85 goals-against average in seven career AHL games and 41-33-8 with a 2.85 goals-against average in 89 career ECHL contests.
