The Kings have acquired defenseman Robyn Regehr from the Sabres in exchange for the Kings’ second-round draft choice in the 2014 NHL Draft and the 2015 NHL Draft, Kings President/GM Dean Lombardi announced tonight.
The trade is contingent on Regehr passing a medical exam. In addition, Kings forward Dustin Penner has been placed on the injured reserve list (retroactive to March 31) due to a lower body injury.
“We will withhold comment on the trade until after the medical exam is completed,” said Lombardi.
