Coyotes GM Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed forward Gilbert Brule to a one-year, two-way contract. Brule has recorded 6-2-8 with four penalty minutes in eight games with the Portland Pirates (AHL) this season. Brule registered 5-9-14 with a plus-seven rating in 33 games with the Coyotes in 2011-12. In parts of seven NHL seasons with the Blue Jackets, Oilers and Coyotes, the 26-year-old native of Edmonton, AB has played in 296 regular season games. Brule was originally drafted by the Blue Jackets in the first round (sixth overall) in the 2005 Entry Draft.
