Jay Feaster has been fired as GM of the Flames, with the team in next-to-last place in the Western Conference, according to an ESPN.com report.
The Flames did not make the playoffs in Feaster's two full seasons as GM. This year, Calgary has just 26 points and is in 13th place in its conference.
Assistant GM John Weisbrod also was let go Thursday. There is no immediate word on successors to Feaster or Weisbrod.
