Roberto Luongo Traded To Panthers

After nearly eight years apart, Roberto Luongo was the centerpiece of a four-player trade between Florida and the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. The Panthers sent goalie Jacob Markstrom and forward Shawn Matthias to the Canucks for Luongo and forward Steven Anthony. 

"Stunned. I was not expecting it," Luongo told TSN Radio. "I'm happy for myself and my family but a little sad to be leaving Vancouver."

canucks had 2 elite goaltenders in luongo and schneider. now they traded both and have only a good prospect (horvat), a goalie project (markstrom) and a third liner (mathias) to show for it. fire the gm already.
