Jon Cooper is staying put, with the Lightning announcing Friday that they had signed the coach to a multiyear extension.
"I'm extremely happy with the job he's doing with our team," Lightning GM Steve Yzerman told ESPN.com on Friday. "I like the way our team plays; I like the systems that we play; and I think he's an outstanding coach. I'm looking forward to working with him for many more years."
