Seattle Franchise Launches Site To Help Decide Name, Colors

The NHL\'s Seattle expansion franchise has launched an interactive fan portal site to help decide the team\'s name and colors.

The team will begin play in 2021-22.

According to the Seattle Times, a link to the site was sent via email to the 33,000 fans who either made season-ticket deposits or are on an extended waiting list.

Colors?? Seattle is all about GREEN, some yellow maybe.. Seattle SuperSonics could be great,after NBA team left

Seahawks, Sounders, and Mariners all wear some combo of blue and green. I would love the new hockey team to match that.

Totems is the leader in the clubhouse.

The name Metropolitans doesn't work (Metropolitan Division) & has been shot down by everyone including Bettman. :wink:

I hope they go for Totems. I believe Sockeyes was in the running and I'm just not a huge fan of that. It's like they want to be the NHL version of the Idaho Steelheads I guess... heh.

Though I guess Totems is too offensive or something...
