The Edmonton Oilers\' Stanley Cup Final games against the Florida Panthers are projected to generate more ticket revenue than any other games in NHL history. Each Edmonton home game should generate approximately $15 million in gross ticket revenue.
The Oilers’ playoff run last year included 12 home games and produced more than $120 million in gross revenue, including concessions and merchandise.
Despite the small market, the Oilers have typically been a top-five NHL team for gate receipts in recent years. The NHL typically has signifiant ticket price increases during the playoffs. Conference finals tickets are up approximately 75 percent from the opening round, while the Stanley Cup finals are up 200 percent from the opening round.
The Oilers are the NHL\'s seventh most valuable team at $2.4 billion.
