Goaltender Dustin Wolf and the Calgary Flame have agreed to a seven-year contract extension worth $52.5 million with an annual average of $7.5 million. Wolf was a finalist for the Calder Trophy last season, given to the league’s rookie of the year.

The 24-year-old Wolf had a 29-16-8 record, a 2.64 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.

Wolf was a seventh round pick by the Flames as he fell in the draft due to concerns about his size.

Wolf\'s considered one of the best skating goalies in the NHL.
