The 17-18 NHL regular season starts this week with the Penguins having won the past two Stanley Cups.

  1. Penguins – Jake Guentzel will complement Sidney Crosby on their way to a “three-peat.”
  2. Oilers – Top MVP candidate Connor McDavid will lead the way.
  3. Lightning – Improved power-play will aid the Bolts.
  4. Blackhawks – Higher expectations for Patrick Kane this season.
  5. Wild – Nino Niederreiter will provide the punch needed in Minnesota.
  6. Maple Leafs – Improved goaltending for the Leafs.
  7. Capitals – Andre Burakovsky will have to be reckoned with this season.
  8. Predators – Kevin Fiala will lead the way in Nashville.
  9. Ducks – Richard Rakell will shine in Anaheim.
  10. Stars – Jamie Benn will be the star in Dallas.
