Back on October 5, 2021, I felt the three-peat was very much in reach for the Lightning, and predicted that they would face-off with the Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final.

Both the Lightning and Avalanche have elite skaters and playmakers. Colorado will be able to offensively match the Lightning goal to goal, but I give Tampa Bay the overall edge on defense, especially in the net.
