The competition for the 2026 Stanley Cup is wide open this season.

 

The Western Conference appears to have an edge with the Avalanche, Golden Knights, Stars, and Oilers all having a legitimate chance to raise the Cup.  

 

In the East, the defensing champ/ion Panthers, the upstart Hurricanes, and the Maple Leafs all appear to be moving in the right direction.
