I'll take it, as long as Otis Smith does not come along to guarantee it be a disaster.

Better than working for Joe Lacob. A guy that breathes down your neck at games, assemble your coaching staff, and fires you if you argue with his little boy. The only way to be able to work for Joe Lacob is by kssing his ass. Just ask Bob Myers.

Basically any change from last year is a win for the Pistons. Hopefully the front office implications of this move mean some permanent changes are in store for their starting 5.

"B" grade only because we don't know his skills as a GM, but compared to this season's performance it seems like a great move in the right direction.
Priority #1? Finding trade partners for Josh Smith or Jennings might be really difficult, so getting those two to play more efficiently within the current player roster is top notch. I am sure SVG has plans for that - aka stop chucking up random 3s SMITH!

I think smith needs to play off the bench. Monroe is too talented to not start. unless SMith learns to play the 3 efficiently and stretch the floor he cannot be on the floor with Monroe and Drummond. and Jennings is very talented as well. he needs a good coach. He comes from Milwakee where he was one of the few options. His play has been affected by his time there and that is why he shoots a lot. Detroit's future looks bright.

The Pistons are one of those teams where we RealGMers say "they have to do make this move or that move" (ie trade Smith or Jennings) but then 6 months later when SVG has the same crew of guys tearing through the league we sit back and say "oh.. I knew they'd be good all along!"

A - because it will be absolutely epic watching Stan yell constantly at Brandon and Josh on the sidelines.

Agree fully here. The Pistons can quickly become very good with just one right move since they have Drummond to build around.
