I think it would be more exciting for the Cavs fans with Wiggins. Cavs dropped the ball last season. If they had taken Oladipo. Imagine...

Irving/ Oladipo
Oladipo/Waiters
Lebron
Wiggins
Hawes

vs.

Irving
Waiters
Lebron/Bennett
Wiggins/Thompson
Hawes

3 canadians in a row...cavs must really like us :o bennett was dissappointment in the beginning, so he better start playing like a #1 draft pick, tristan thompson is pretty good, and wiggins, if he is as good as they said he would make the cavs better BUT i dont think cavs need a SF, rather a SG or C

Wiggins over Emiid? Pleaseeeeeee. Are you out of your mind!

I'm sure Wiggins will be a find player, but have some of you even watched Emiid play, or know his background? He's been playing basketball for just 4 years! He looked lost at sea to begin his freshman campaign, and turned himself into the best player on Kansas. It wasn't Wiggins, it was Emiid. This guy's game has grown as a very high rate, and has all the athleticism, skills, and talent to be arguably the best center to have entered the NBA since Duncan.

It's not even close to who the best player in this draft is. As long as he's healthy, they're nuts if they don't take him. He's the best center prospect we've seen in a long time. You don't pass on that!

Don't give me the Greg Oden crap either. Oden was never this gifted. For every Sam Bowie or Oden, there's been Kareem, Shaq, Duncan, Hakeem, Ewing, and Robinson. There have been plenty of dominant centers taken number one overall and have gone on to be HOFers.

So let's not pretend these guys never work out, just because every now and then one gets hurt, and the perception now becomes "don't draft a center first overall".

Embiid seems like a risky #1 pick to me. Wiggins is a freak athlete, but I never really saw that killer instinct from him.

Parker seems like a do it all player, and will give you valuable minutes from day one. He is an all around player with a high basketball IQ.

I stopped reading as soon as you compared Embiid to Duncan.

I would take Embiid and shop him to the Jazz for Kanter, #5, #23.

If I'm the cavs, I'm drafting Wiggins because I know I can just draft Jalil Okafor first overall next year instead of Embiid this year.

I agree 100%; All of the bigs you are mentioning were great; but Embiid has only shown a small sample size and could end up being a huge bust; When you think about it; that Greg Oden pick has to feel awful when your the GM (that lost his job) and Kevin Durant (the leagues 2nd best player) goes right after your misfortune. And the Gm who took Sam Bowie over Jordan man he's probably sitting somewhere in alcholics anonymous telling himself that anyone couldve made that mistake. Andrew Wiggins has big time player potential; I wouldnt be the GM to pass him up for a guy who might end up being the next Theo Ratliff.

All around player? Have you seen him on defense? Coach K did a great job hiding his deficiencies through good team defense, but he can't guard any small forwards in the NBA. His lateral quickness just does not exist. I'm not sure if he will end up being a 3 or a 4, but good luck on defense either way.
Wiggins can guard any player at the 1,2 or 3, in the NBA, right now. I don't think he can be the best player on a playoff team, but honestly, I don't think any player in this draft can. Embiid is closest, but this is a wing player league now.
I go back and forth everyday over Wiggins, Embiid, and Exum. Parker? No thanks.

Um, do you even read at all? Did I compare him to Duncan? I said best center prospect to have entered the NBA SINCE Duncan.

 Clearly you didn't read at all.

Umm, you do realize that the Houston Rockets also took Hakeem Olajuwon, over Michael Jordan. That didn't turn out too bad.

He's the best prospect in this draft! Do you not get that? You think I'm pulling this out of thin air. Most scouts and GMs are in full agreement he's easily the best prospect in this draft. You think a team with the number one pick should pass on the best prospect, because they're worried about past draft picks? That's stupid.

Unless his back is seriously screwed up (didn't look like it in his workouts), then they should take him number one. I think non-Cav fans are hoping they don't take him is all.

I might be old school, but I would love to see how well Kyrie gets with a big man to run pick and rolls with. Kyrie and a shooter like Jabari doesn't seem right, but then you never know. Oh wait, they did get a big man, too bad they picked Bennett, who doesn't look like he can play NBA basketball, let alone enable Irving to get better.

Those big guys always look great in high school and college - but when they enter the NBA the bullying does not work anymore.

I think all players that could go #1, are potential busts or could become the next big thing. Really tough decision to pick first, I am leaning towards Embiid still - but would not be surprised it Wiggings is picked #3/4 and turns out to be the SIGNIFICANTLY better player.
