A lot of scratch for a guy who put up numbers while KLove was out almost entire season.

They should have waited and paid him when they absolutely had to. Which team was going to give him that kind of money? He should be making what Tiago Splitter got paid, not near max dollars. I gave it an F as well

But Tiago Splitter should be making what JJ Hickson is making so that complicates the whole situation.

Tiago Splitter was resigned for four years at an average of nine million per season. I think it is a fair contract that Pekovic is worth the three million more per season. Both players have improved in each of their three seasons. Pekovic is tougher, more assertive and a presence to be feared. They are different types of centers. Splitter more agile, while Pek can muscle with anyone in the league.

I wont disagree with you, and if I were Big Pek, I too would have gotten as much as I could have. In the long run though, this deal could come back to haunt the Wolves. I'm a huge Pistons fan, but I would say I pay attention to the Wolves just about as much. I like the make-up of their team and I think Pekovic getting big dollars will really take its toll on the young nucleus they have built there.
