Pretty damn stunned it's that close. That has to be homerism. No way any realistic (or even casual) fan truly believes LAL is positioned to win a title in the next few years.

Well, keep in mind that teams like the Lakers and Heat are those big level publicity world teams full of casual fans whose grasp on basketball is "KOBE RULEZZ!!!!!!!!!!". Nothing against those teams or anything. Naturally a load of people will still vote "yes" on this poll, because there's a load of retards. Like, the Milwaukee Bucks probably don't have many many millions of fans. These are the same people who tried to vote Jeremy Lin in for the All-Star game after Linsanity and would still be voting Kobe Bryant in for this year's All-Star Game despite the fact he hasn't played at all. Your generic doofus who tends to be a huge Kobe or LeBron fan and who just sort of rants about "RINGS!!!!". Once again, that's nothing against Kobe or LeBron, they're just such huge media entities that they get these sort of latcher-on general derps.

I'm a Celtic's fan and I vote no BUT depending on who they get in free agency and in this coming draft they might be a top 4 team in the west next season. I think that would make them a fringe contender. I could see them becoming better than the Clippers very soon.

When Kobe comes back all the Seven Second or Less fun will end....no more Jordan Farmar or Wesley Johnson scoring 30 points in a game.
