What's to like? They drafted Derrick Rose when he was the no brainer #1 pick. Woo hoo, genius.
Since then? Not a lot has gone right with mostly average to below average players shuffling through town. Add in a terrible relationship with a supposed genius headcoach and a skinflint reputation. There is not a lot to like here.

I think they've done a good job of bringing in solid role players. Joakim Noah, Jimmy Butler, and Tony Snell will be a good nucleus for the future. Can't blame the organization about the D-Rose injuries. It's not like D-Rose had a history of injuries and the Bulls knew about it. Still a lot of work that needs to be done, but they're getting there.

Other then D-Rose they have nothing more then an average player....no top ten players at any other position...they rely off of D-Rose and are lucky to have a top 5 coach in the leaugue

I said NO. And I am really going to say no if they lose Deng, and try and rebuild.

The ownership, which isn't going to change any time soon as Jerry Reinsdorf's son will take over, is a smaller issue.
It's a vicious cycle of mediocre moves by John Paxson (and yes, it's John Paxon, not Gar Forman. Pax has the control). It was bad enough when it was just Pax and they had a few over-achieving seasons. Derrick Rose was a gift. He gets no credit for that. But he constantly overloves and overvalues his "guys". Can't move Deng, don't want to listen on Noah, couldn't trade Kirk Hinrich until they absolutely had to, overpay Taj Gibson, get nothing for Omer Asik. It never ends. Then when they do have money, no superstar wants to come here because word of mouth around the league has told guys to stay away from Pax. James, Wade, Bosh, etc. say no, overpay for Carlos Boozer because there's money to burn. I understand the Bulls are in "cap hell", but they put themselves there. I've been a fan for 30 years. The only way they win anytime soon is Derrick Rose coming back almost as good as he once was, and some dumb luck. Unless Mirotic comes over and is the real deal, or they some how pry away a Kevin Love in the next couple years, the ECF is as good as it can or will get. I'd say let Pax go, but who is there to replace him with? I think I'll just be happy it was Pax who got the job and not B.J. Armstrong. It could be worse.

I said no, they should have actively tried to pursue guys like Harden or at least keep Nate and Marco. I feared that if DRose came back and the only scoring options u had were Boozer, Deng and Jimmy Butler was going to put too much added pressure on Rose after the ACL injury...that won't cut it if u want to beat Miami even with a healthy DRose. But at the same time we can't harp to much on bulls management because they did draft Mirotic (hopefully it pans out), they got Boozer, Brewer & Korver back in 2010.
I do expect the bulls management to actively pursue guys in 2014. If Deng leaves, I have faith in Tony Snell, Snell could easily be a guy ala Tony Allen and average 15 points-5 rebounds-3 assists-2 steals and 1 block in this league when he reaches his potential, Jimmy is still a work in progress however getting better though. Bulls main mission is pursuing scorers who will adapt to the Thibodeau defensive system. That way u have scorers who can create and hit shots but also play D. The bulls should pursue DeRozan, Ben Gordon (vet minimum), Nate Robinson, OJ Mayo, Tony Wroten? If Minnesota isn't in the playoff picture why not Kevin Love? Just a few suggestions I have in mind.
