I would type fire GM Joe Dumars 1000 times but I do not have the time. It is long overdue.

I think it would be in the pistons and Joe's best interests if both went there seperate ways. Over the last 5 or so years we've seen an under pressure Dumars making mistake after mistake. I feel a new start will do him the world of good too as was witnessed when he constructed a championship contender that had an awesome run for the good part of a decade. His role with the pistons now is one that places him under the microscope which is not how a GM should be allowed to operate. The pistons want to win now but the team is full of ill fitting parts which takes time to sort out. Joe has had enough chances so I'm not excusing that so for the pistons and his sake I hope he's put out of his misery at seasons end.

Unless they make some miracle moves by this deadline, I still can't understand what the hell they were thinking with the moves made this past off-season...

Jennings+Monroe and protected picks (seconds and a first) for rondo is going to happen at some point this season or in the offseason. Pistons are already willing to offer a max deal for rondo and they basically signed jennings to a bargain cap friendly contract to use as a trade chip.

Besides all often discussed bad decisions, Dumars also let very good young players go away, like Afflalo and Amir Johnson.

Interesting chips -- the type Ainge likes for his mantra of "maximizing value" (salary flexibility, young promising big man, and picks)

What makes you think Ainge wouldn't be willing to offer Rondo a max salary after 2015 besides gut feeling?

Or do you think Ainge is in the camp that thinks a max contract to Rondo is not best value?

they really **** up their team with the signing of Smith and Jennings. They had arguably the best young frontcourt in the NBA with Monroe & Drummon and they **** it up by a horrible chucker beside them at SF, and another Chucker at the point guard position. They would have been better of just keeping Knight.

Better hope they can trade away Smith or Jennings, or both

Dumars is terrible and should have been fired years ago. The team was finally gettin on the right track and he did the same **** again.
