Minus the Lakers, 76ers and Bucks-like teams - it is actually pretty competitive in the playoffs. Whether you attribute that to injuries, mental breakdowns, match-ups, etc. Only one series has gone 4-0, other than that every series has been competitive (Wizards got thru over Chicago, but they put up a fight).

Now this needs to translate into the regular season so that the other 82 games each team plays aren't laughable at times. There needs to be a strong penalty for teams finishing last, so that "tanking" is not a good "strategy" for rebuilding.

When in doubt, choose Atlanta over Indiana.

Well, no one can work at full throttle all the time....imo, regular season shall be more about polishing systems, developing rookies and roster depth...

This whole "tanking ideology" was only a trendy idea due to OKC's success....nowadays, GMs already realized that drafting Durant-Westbrook-Harden and Ibaka was only a fluke.

Atlanta had the game in its hands....84-79, 3min16s....(final score 88-95)...once they realized they were very close to winning the series, they started missing easy layups. David West took over in the final minutes.

So they don't suspend Pacer players for breaking rules, but they suspend Randolph. This is screwed up, they are basically saying Randolph is a lesser person, and since he won't sell as many tickets, he can be suspended but George can't.

This is a rig. NBA wants OKC vs Heat again in Championship, and they don't want Grizzlies beating Thunder. Everyone already knows Pacers aren't going that far, so no need to worry about them past semi's.

Let's wait to see how each series plays out before jumping to any hasty conclusions

Like the situation is one of comparison. Paul George jumped up off the bench and took one step onto the court; whereas Z-Bo hits a guy in the jaw. There shouldnt be any penalty for something that didnt even matter like the Paul George incident. It shouldnt have even been talked about. If u said Mike Scott and George Hill should be penalized; I would agree. The problem with the NBA is that its being run by ppl with your ideology. Trash talk = Techs on the court is ridiculous enough. The players should ban together during the next negotiations and eliminate a lot of this erroneous ideology; created by ppl whom have never played nor understand fierce competition.

Why should Scott and Hill be penalized? All they really did was get in each others face and push each other. There were not any punches thrown so it is senseless. Emotion gets in the way of the game at times.

Easy choice to me.
Griz got murdered by the league.
Warriors got killed by injuries
Only Hawks have a good, if not very good chance, against a fragile Pacers team

True, but Indiana is playing out of their element against a more confident Atlanta team. Clippers will have tons of support at home, and they battled down to a 1 point game in Game 6. LA looking good with Bogut and maybe JO out. And as for Memphis, they will be missing one of their most integral starters in Randolph. Quite frankly, Indiana is playing without Hibbert, shuffling lineups, under pressure for their jobs next season - so much to lose and it's the perfect storm brewing in Indy for a while now.
