I like the variety of name permutations. You've got six first initial plus last name, despite there not being players in the league with the same last names as four of them. Then there are two guys with just last names. And one guy with just his first name. Nicely done.

How could Curry win when he isn't even the best at his position?

Just to clarify, this is a vote for the upcoming season's MVP which hasn't taken place yet. So the presumption is that the improvement this year to Curry would make him an MVP. I can see how you would misunderstand that, as the reference to the year at which the MVP award will be given isn't listed in the title.

I'm a huge DeRozan fan, but he's arguably not the MVP of the Raptors... that I'd give to Lowry last season if I had to make a decision. If anything they are co-MVPs in that they both have about the same value to the roster, Lowry just has more responsibility. I don't think you can mention either close to CP3 in terms of MVP talks.. and CP3 is a bit behind Durant/Lebron to start any given season.

All that said, they're probably more worthy of being mentioned than Dwight at this point. (IMO)

Davis & Westbrook are wild cards, but with Durant's injury I think it's going to be Lebron more than likely... so long as the Cavs live up to the hype.

The only way Curry will become an elite player and have a chance to be an MVP is if he can play defense which looks highly unlikely.

DEFENSE is why. They didn't ask who will be the MVP in fantasy basketball. This is the NBA where true elite players can handle their business on both ends of the court.

This poll should have contained just 2 names. The same 2 names. Everyone knows which two. No, not Curry and Derozan.

Oh yeah, because Steve Nash was such a defensive beast when he won back to back MVPs. Scoff.

Curry averaged 24, 9 assists and 4 boards last season on great percentages which is pretty similar to what D Rose posted when he won MVP. If he slightly improves, lets say 26 pts, 10 assists and 5 boards, maybe even tightens up his D abit, and the Warriors are a top 5 seed which is highly possible then don't count him out.

And yet HARDEN is on the poll. Lmao. Curry isn't even bad at defense. He is average at worst. Please show proof that he's some horrible defender. He might've been in 2009, but this is 2014 now. He's improved a ton on defense. Just because he's most well known for his shooting and scoring doesn't automatically mean he's a bad defender.

Curry had the 35th best AST/TO ratio for PGs last year...

Let that sink in.... 34 PGs had a better AST/TO ratio than Curry last year

Oh, so I guess Jose Calderon should be an option since hes the king of A2T ratio.. lol

Last year he also lead all point guards in points, 3rd in assists, and 1st in 3PTMade (261). But I guess A2T is more important. He's young, a lot of young players struggle with turnovers ... actually, the best players in the league do too; top 5 is john wall, steph curry, KD, LBJ, then James Harden. He'll improve.
