Thought the Suns got quite a lot of value actually. But apparently they don't intend to keep some of it. Still, that doesn't make it any better for the Bucks. B+ grade max.

The Bucks appear to have the better end of the deal. I doubt anyone trades for Greg Monroe when he is available as a FA next season. Future #1 protected and second rounder seems good for Eric Bledsoe for two years at least and Giannis.

Suns - They don't have much leverage, since Bledsoe demanded a trade. Atleast they get a first round pick, though it's probably going to be around 20th, so they probably wont get it until 2020. Monroe aint a bad player, but he doesn't fit their future plans, and he's an expensive 1 year rental, so I don't think they'll get a lot in return. Hard to evaluate how bad a return this is with out knowing what other teams were offering. This turns out to be an awesome trade if the pick goes unprotected in 2021 and somehow the Bucks stink then.

Bucks - Honestly, a no brainer for me. The Bucks needed a legit 2nd option, and Bledsoe might be it. The past 4 seasons he's averaged 18.8ppg with two seasons over 20ppg, with 4.8rpg and 6apg during this stretch. Monroe is not getting much burn and the pick will probably be a 2020 pick in the 20s, so not a big deal. The 2nd round pick may never eve see an NBA contract.

In the end, a A for the Bucks, knowing what I know for the Suns, maybe like a C, nothing special in return as of now, but they were in a tough situation.

Not the worst deal in the world, but giving an 18M expiring and a 1st for a guy who has bad knees and a bad attitude doesn’t seem wise in the long run.

Bad attitude? The suns did wrong by him at every turn... how much loyalty is he supposed to give them in a situation like that?

Context is important. Milwaukee hasn't won a playoff series in 17 years. Bledsoe is a talented player with a skillset the Bucks don't currently have. He gives them the opportunity to play deep into the playoffs and become relevant for the first time in years. It's a risk worth taking. If you want to compete in the playoffs you have to pay up.

Seems ignorant to say anything other than AMAZING TRADE FOR BUCKS. They looked great in their very first game... Just wait until they gel.

They are 3-0 since the trade. I may be wrong, but statistically he’s been a wreck... however, i do realize that the PACE of play is up and defensively he is a vast improvement at stopping ball penetration than Brogdon and Delly. So, so far.. it’s better that I thought. Hope it stays that way.

The Bucks shouldn’t be building to win a single series, you build to win the whole thing.
