Never been a LeBron fan but he's still the best player in the league, and so far has been playing like it. I'd give him the edge over Beard.

better conference? so that's where the MVP should be because of the conference?

it's still too early though, but definitely they're 1 and 2 in the convo. Harden has the better team though, while Lebron has to carry his team more because of significant injuries (TT, IT, Rose, and no more Irving). it's LeBron for me, right now.

And the Rockets are pretenders. Harden and CP3 are choke artists. Awarding Harden an MVP for what should be considered "Flopgate" by the public would be a crime against humanity. Seriously, the public should be outraged over Harden's cheating. He should be banned for at least the first half of next season because nothing else has changed his behavior even though he's been well warned. They changed the rules because of him and he just finds new ways to cheat. He's a serial offender and it would be a travesty if an MVP was ever awarded to him.

Lebron is also having a monster season (and career) and I don't think anyone will dispute that. They have the 5th best record in the league and have had garbage competition for the last month or so. The only Eastern team with playoff aspirations that have had an easier schedule thus far are the Wizards. (The Back end of the season could get rough for both of these teams.) Plus the Cavs have 6 former All-Stars, two MVP, two finals MVP's and $20M more in payroll. They are going to need to win the East if Lebron wants to compete for MVP. Add to that how Love regressed when he came and Kyrie excelled when he left... Lebron clearly isn't getting the best out of his teammates. Westbrook proved that this type of play can win you an MVP, but I think everyone is seeing clearer now.

With the way Lebron is playing, put him in place of beard and you think the Rockets have a better or worse record?

Everybody flops and all shooters try and draw fouls... but Kobe was the first jump shooter trying harder to get fouled that to get an open shot. That said, he played within the rules, as does Harden.

But I'm confused... are you suggesting that Lebron has never flopped or created contact to try and draw a foul? If he has, would that make him a cheater? Sorry to burst your bubble!

Harden is a one dimensional player who should never win the MVP. He is a great scorer who is average or below average at just about everything else. Terrible defender, average passer (40th in AST/TO ratio), poor leader on and off the court, average rebounder (84th in RPG). Harden's brand of basketball is all about accumulating gaudy stats, but the way he dominates the ball, and the way he plays defense, will NEVER work in the playoffs.
